Over 30 cyclists made the nearly five-mile round trip, delivering books on bicycles from the Commodore Yacht Club to Gower Elementary School. Throngs of screaming students awaited the riders as they rolled up the driveway with books literally in tow.
What a wonderful feeling it was to pedal into the parking lot of Glengarry Elementary School to the cheers and high fives from the students, teachers and administrators during Sept. 16's Ride for Reading bicycle book delivery. We are truly honored to donate books to this organization and grateful to take part in the awesome rides.
At the footsteps of the historic DeKalb County Courthouse is where Mostly Tomatos spent their 2016 Labor Day weekend. We were there to participate in the ninth annual AJC Decatur Book Festival in Decatur, Ga. It was awesome to feel much energy to promote reading and literacy.
Mostly Tomatos took part in Ride for Reading's National Week May 9 in Nashville, participating in a bicycle delivery of books to Fall Hamilton School. National Week is Ride for Reading's annual initiative where cities from across the country host their own delivery to benefit their local community.
It's a pairing that was just meant to be. Mostly Tomatos has a bicycle in its logos and loves books. Ride for Reading has a bicycle in its logo and loves books. And we both love getting books into the hands of those who need them.
