Literacy

We provide thousands of books each year to Book 'em as it works to create a more literate Nashville by helping economically disadvantaged children, from birth through high school, discover the joy and value of reading through book ownership and enthusiastic volunteers.

Mostly Tomatos is proud to give back to the community by donating books to Nashville's Ride for Reading and participating in the organization's bicycle deliveries to local schools to help children in low-income areas become healthy and literate.

Through donations of our own to Book 'em, Mostly Tomatos helps support Language Circle Enterprises / Project Read. The well-established organization's materials provide a viable and effective intervention for any at-risk learner, allowing students to master the symbol system of language in reading, written, and oral expression.
