This ride was for the birds! A 30-rider Ride for Reading delivery from Nashville's Green Fleet Bikes to McFerrin Community Center was made even better with the Nashville Sounds' Booster riding along with us to deliver free books to the kids.
A fun roll through downtown Nashville on the way to Front Porch Ministry, and eventually a great visit with the kids at the The Salvation Army Magness Potter Community Center for Ride for Reading's June summer delivery.
We talked about cycling, flat tires, and books with Jack Johnson before his Nashville show at Ascend Amphitheater. Jack's a really genuine guy, who was doing a solid in matching donations up to $2,500 for Ride for Reading during June's Big Payback.
We had a great time meeting, greeting, and sorting with a wonderful group of folks at Ride for Reading's March sort party. We’re always happy to partner with such positive organizations that are doing their part to make an impact in our communities.
It was a gorgeous Nashville day for Ride for Reading's March book delivery. A convoy of bicycles with trailers and backpacks filled with books pedaled nearly six miles from Von Elrod's Beer Garden & Sausage House to Carter-Lawrence Elementary and back.
