Ride for Reading closed out the 2018 delivery schedule by delivering over 800 books to over 400 children at Nashville's Whitsitt Elementary School in November. The volunteers, on their bikes, braved the rain and cooler temps to put an exclamation point on 2018.
Ride for Reading's October Nashville delivery to Buena Vista School featured a pro cyclist, a chicken, and a number of volunteers dressed as their favorite children's book character. We delivered to over 300 children at the North Nashville school.
Over at Smith and Lentz Brewing in East Nashville, a Pintwood Derby was held with proceeds going to our friends at Book'em. Mostly Tomatos' children's books "Bookshelf" car took home Best in Show and a Smith & Lentz glass boot trophy!
Mostly Tomatos rolled into another school year with another Ride for Reading delivery. This first one of the year on a hot, Nashville afternoon, saw nearly 50 volunteers deliver 700 books to the kids at Cockrill Elementary School in the Nations area of Nashville.

This ride was for the birds! A 30-rider Ride for Reading delivery from Nashville's Green Fleet Bikes to McFerrin Community Center was made even better with the Nashville Sounds' Booster riding along with us to deliver free books to the kids.
A fun roll through downtown Nashville on the way to Front Porch Ministry, and eventually a great visit with the kids at the The Salvation Army Magness Potter Community Center for Ride for Reading's June summer delivery.
